about the designer

Emily Nelson hails from New York, Germany, Utah, Russia and New York (respectively and in that order).  Her designs are inspired by her European exploits, her L.D.S. standards, her background in costumes, and a wild bit of the New Yorker in her. When she's designing white on white her creativity can be seen in her cunning details, and her modern untraditional approach to old school throw-back style. 

Emily's education and attention to detail began at her mother's sewing table and was later continued at Southern Utah University where she earned her BA in Costume Design. It has been furthered at New York's Fashion Instutite of Technology.
